GLOSSARY

What is OODA Loop?

The OODA loop (Observe, Orient, Decide, Act) is a four-step approach to decision-making that focuses on filtering available information, putting it in context and quickly making the most appropriate decision while also understanding that changes can be made as more data becomes available. It involves collecting relevant information, recognizing potential biases, deciding and acting. The quicker you can complete these loops, the more likely you are to make effective decisions and achieve higher win rates.

Decision intelligence uses technology to empower decision makers with timely insights based on a comprehensive analysis of their environment. As a result, these decision makers can focus their actions where they will have the most impact. Both the OODA loop and decision intelligence help people improve decision-making processes for competitive advantage.
