GLOSSARY

What is Composite AI?

Composite AI recognizes that there is no single general purpose AI technique. To achieve the best results in tackling complex business problems, companies often combine different AI with other analytical techniques. Composite AI, also known as Multidisciplinary AI, is defined as the combined application of different AI techniques to improve the efficiency of learning in order to broaden the level of knowledge representations.

Different AI techniques or more often a combination of techniques will make more sense than relying on ML as a “one size fits all” approach. As such, a composite AI system should be built atop a “composite architecture,” which incorporates traditional rules-based systems, natural language processing (NLP), optimization techniques and graph techniques.
